Update No.12 Still no Formal offer from Government

While there has been some discussions with the State Government in an attempt have an offer to put to members, no significant improvement to the current formal offer has been provided to the AWU at this stage.
It is clear that the activity on the ground from AWU members across the state has had a real impact. It is this pressure that has forced the Government back to the table.
It has been great that all unions have worked together, however there is no doubt it has been the concentrated industrial campaign of AWU members on the ground that is now moving negotiations forward. AWU members have a wide range of work bans on in nearly every Queensland Health facility in the State.
Now is not the time to back off. Until we have a formal offer it is extremely important that workers and unions continue to press our fair and reasonable claims.
No offer will be signed off by AWU Secretary Bill Ludwig until AWU members have a real say on any offer provided.
