AWU CONFERENCE FOR OPERATIONAL STAFF IN QHEALTH

This week the AWU Queensland will be conducting a conference for operational staff in QHealth. Attendees will participate in discussions about the current situation in QHealth, the enterprise bargaining process, the negotiating and campaign state of affairs for operational staff, and challenges ahead.
Speakers will include Bill Ludwig (AWU Queensland Branch Secretary), Gary Ryan (AWU Queensland Branch President), experienced campaign and bargaining staff from the Union office, and a presentation by Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants.
In addition to important background information, the conference attendees will receive hands-on training on the skills that will be required to conduct this important campaign.
The is only the first of many activities that will be conducted to support the workplace reps, campaign contacts and other activists who will play such a key role in the success of the Union's campaign.
